Wall Smoothing on the Costa Blanca

Getting walls smooth is the change that modernises a home most. I smooth your textured or blemished walls on the Costa Blanca and leave them perfect for painting.

What the service includes

Thorough smoothing

Skim coat or re-plastering as needed, sanding and a coat of primer.

Protection and clean-up

I seal off the area from sanding dust and leave everything tidy when done.

Ready to paint

The walls end up smooth and sealed, ready for the colour you choose.

Smoothing means applying a skim coat over a textured or damaged wall, sanding it and leaving it completely smooth. If the texture is very heavy or poorly bonded, I scrape and re-plaster first. I protect the room well because the sanding creates dust, and I seal off the rest of the house so it doesn't get dirty.

A smooth wall reflects light better, looks cleaner and makes any flat feel newer and bigger. It nearly always pays to smooth and paint at the same time: you make the most of one set-up and it works out better than in two visits. When I'm done I leave everything tidy and vacuumed.

FAQ

What's the difference between smoothing and removing the texture?
They're the same thing seen from the result: to remove the texture you have to smooth the wall (with skim coat or plaster). The aim is to leave it smooth and flat.
Does smoothing make a lot of mess?
The sanding creates dust, but it's kept under control by protecting the area and sealing off the rest of the home. When done I leave everything clean and vacuumed.
Can I smooth just one room?
Yes, I can smooth a single room or the whole house. I'll give you a fixed price based on the area and the state of the walls.
