Plasterboard & False Ceiling Painting on the Costa Blanca
Plasterboard gives a perfect finish if it's prepared properly before painting. I treat the joints and screws, prime the whole surface and paint so not a single mark shows in the light.

What the service includes
Joints and screws
I touch up the joints, countersink and cover the screws and sand so nothing shows.
Sealing primer
I seal the whole board so it absorbs evenly and the colour comes out uniform.
Smooth finish
Plasterboard walls and false ceilings smooth, with no marks in the light.
Plasterboard absorbs paint differently from the filler on the joints, and if it's painted without preparation the bands and the screw dots show as soon as the light hits them. To avoid that I apply a sealing primer over the whole board, so the whole wall 'drinks' evenly and the colour comes out uniform.
I check the joints are properly taped and the screws are countersunk, touch up with filler where needed, sand and then paint. It's the ideal option in new builds, new partition walls, false ceilings and dry lining to insulate cold or damp walls. I protect the floor and leave everything tidy when done.
FAQ
- Does plasterboard need priming before painting?
- Yes, it's what makes the difference. Without a sealing primer, the board and the joints absorb differently and the bands show. With it, the finish comes out uniform and lasts longer.
- Why do the joints and screws show through?
- Because the filler and the board don't absorb the same and the screws sit at a different level. I solve it by touching up the joints, covering the screws, sanding and priming the whole surface.
- Do you also paint plasterboard false ceilings?
- Yes, plasterboard walls and false ceilings, dry lining and new partition walls. I protect the floor well because painting ceilings always drips more, and I leave everything clean.
